Terms of Service
Last updated: April 21, 2026
By using Stash you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them short and plain because nobody reads long ones.
1. Your account
You need a Google account to sign in, or you can try the app as a guest. Keep your credentials private. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account.
2. Your content
You own what you put into Stash — your notes, links, photos, and stashes. We only store it so we can show it back to you and the people you share it with. You grant us the minimum licence required to operate the service (store, back up, display to you and people you explicitly share with).
You’re responsible for making sure your content doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights and follows the rules in section 4.
3. Sharing and collaboration
Notebook and link stashes can be made public or shared with contributors you invite. Depending on their role, contributors can view, add, or edit items in that stash. You can revoke access at any time. Media and file stashes stay on your device and cannot be publicly shared.
4. Acceptable use
Please don’t use Stash to:
- Upload illegal content or content that harasses, defames, or endangers others.
- Distribute malware, phishing links, or spam.
- Try to break into other users’ accounts or disrupt the service.
- Scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Share content you don’t have the right to share.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules or that are being used to abuse the service.
5. Plans and payments
Stash is free to download and use for personal note-taking, link saving, and on-device media. Stash Pro unlocks contributors, public sharing on notebook and link stashes, Markdown export, and custom cover images.
Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Pricing is shown in-app at purchase and may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s App Store or Google Play account settings.
All purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds are subject to the respective store’s refund policy. Lifetime purchases are one-time and non-recurring.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Subscriptions: you can cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play subscriptions page. You keep access until the end of your paid period; no partial refunds.
Lifetime: because Pro is delivered instantly and tied to your store account, refund requests go through the store you purchased from. Email us if you need help navigating that.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Profile → Account. When you do, we remove your stashes, items, tags, and contributor records from our servers. Media and files stay on your device — delete them from there to fully wipe them. Shared items you added to other people’s stashes will stay in those stashes (since they are now part of that owner’s stash), but your profile and ownership records are deleted.
8. Service availability
We try to keep Stash running smoothly but we don’t guarantee uptime, and we may take the service down for maintenance. We’re not liable for data loss caused by service outages beyond what’s legally required.
9. Changes
We may update these terms when we add features or the legal landscape shifts. If a change is material, we’ll tell you in-app before it kicks in.
10. Liability
Stash is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of the service.
11. Contact
